“In a lot of places, of course, the ’80s had never really come to an end.” - Nick Harkaway

This edit was my attempt to bring the restaurant forward in time a bit, replacing doo wop and dragsters for new wave and skateboards.

In this electrifying 80's retro-inspired rendition of Flo's V8 Cafe in Cars Land, Disney California Adventure transforms into a neon-soaked wonderland after dark. The vibrant glow of neon lights bathes the iconic diner in a symphony of bold pinks, electric blues, and pulsating purples. The cafe's distinctive sign, adorned with futuristic lines and gradients, beams with a nostalgic futuristic charm reminiscent of the neon aesthetic popular in the 1980s.

The surrounding landscape is painted in deep, moody hues, enhancing the contrast with the vivid neon palette. The overall composition exudes a sense of excitement and adventure, inviting viewers to step into a neon-drenched dreamscape where the spirit of the '80s collides with the timeless magic of Disney. This edited photo becomes a visual time capsule, capturing the essence of both eras in a single, captivating frame

I lost my head in San Fransokyo, waiting for the fog to roll out. - The Mowgli’s

My goal with this photo was to recreate an evening in this fictional City by the Bay, with the atmosphere of the actual City by the Bay. In this captivating depiction of the Port of San Fransokyo within Disney California Adventure, the familiar setting undergoes a magical transformation under the veil of a foggy San Francisco night. The iconic blend of San Francisco and Tokyo architecture takes on an ethereal quality as the soft, enveloping mist shrouds the structures in an enchanting haze.

The twinkling lights along the port's facades pierce through the fog, casting a diffuse and mysterious glow that adds an air of intrigue to the scene. The reflection of these lights on the shimmering water below creates a mesmerizing play of illumination, reminiscent of the city's real-life waterfront charm.. This edited photo not only captures the essence of the Port of San Fransokyo but also introduces a touch of cinematic mystique, transforming a familiar scene into a fantastical and immersive experience.

Oh and the alternate caption for this: I tried to catch some fog....I mist.

More than just a memory...

I normally go for a very bright and vibrant editing style, but I opted for a more subdued, quasi-film look for this pic. I find it well suited to invoke nostalgia.

In this evocative photograph of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland during the late afternoon, the golden sunlight casts a warm and nostalgic embrace over the iconic landmark. Edited to enhance the hues of the setting sun, the sky takes on a rich palette of amber and soft pink, creating a canvas that holds the essence of cherished memories.

The castle, adorned with intricate details, stands as a sentinel of enchantment against the radiant backdrop. The sunlight bathes the turrets and spires, casting long, soft shadows that dance on the ground below. The hustle and bustle of the day begin to mellow, and the air is filled with a sense of tranquility, as if time momentarily slows down to allow for reflection. The atmosphere is imbued with a gentle nostalgia, evoking the emotions of shared laughter, awe, and the timeless joy that Disneyland imparts. This edited photo becomes a visual tapestry, weaving together the magic of the castle, the warmth of the afternoon sun, and the cherished memories etc.
