"Definitely my favorite Big Thunder anywhere in the world." - Tony Baxter

I mean, if the man who created the ride says so, who am I to argue? And honestly, I can't. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Disneyland Paris definitely feels the definitive version of the attraction. From its unique location, being on an island in Frontierland, to the fact that the ending is one of the fastest Disney coasters ever, this definitely is the G.O.A.T among G.O.A.T.s.

Captured in a moment of thrilling motion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad races across the vibrant landscape of Disneyland Paris. The vivid colors of the scenery pop against the backdrop of a dramatic sky, where clouds stretch and swirl, painting a dynamic canvas. The train, a blur of motion, seems to leap from the track, embodying the spirit of adventure that defines this beloved ride. This image perfectly encapsulates the exhilarating blend of man-made marvel and natural beauty, inviting all who view it to imagine the rush of wind and the joyous shouts of riders as they plunge into the heart of the mountain.

Ugh, now I want to ride it again....

"It's as much fun to scare at it is to be scared." - Vincent Price

Oh man, did this live up to the hype. The biggest reason I wanted to go to Disneyland Paris was to experience Phantom Manor for myself. It did not disappoint, Insta-friends. It ties into the entire story of Thunder Mesa, their Frontierland, perfectly. The land feels so much more cohesive than in any of the domestic parks. And this attraction took the creepiness factor of the Haunted Mansion to the next level. No spoilers, but the ending scene is borderline PG-13.

In the eerie stillness of Disneyland Paris, Phantom Manor looms ominously, casting a foreboding shadow over the landscape. The low angle of the shot emphasizes the towering stature of the manor, while muted colors lend an air of mystery and suspense to the scene. With its weathered facade and gothic architecture, the manor exudes a haunting charm, inviting brave souls to delve into its dark secrets. This captivating image captures the essence of Phantom Manor, where ghostly whispers and phantom apparitions await those who dare to explore its haunted halls.

Los Espookies indeed.

Am I walking away toward something I should be running away from?" - Shirley Jackson

If the "something" in question is the Walt Disney Studios version of the Tower of Terror, then the answer may be yes. While it is the shortened DCA-version of the ride, it takes the Los Espookies up to the next level by adding to the already eerie story of the Tower.

This version has three different storylines that you experience once you step into the elevator. Our version involved the little girl who was lost on the fateful Halloween night. Something is coming for you, and the ghostly child is the only company you have, as she eerily warns you throughout the drops...

As the sun sets behind Walt Disney Studios, the Tower of Terror stands bathed in a dramatic blaze of colors, its silhouette becoming even more imposing against the fiery sky. The eerie architectural details of the hotel facade are accentuated by the vibrant hues of orange and red, casting long shadows that add to the building's foreboding allure. This moment captures the essence of the attraction—mysterious and thrilling, pulling guests into its narrative of a haunted hotel frozen in time. The contrast between the warm sky and the chilling theme of the Tower heightens the anticipation and awe, making it a mesmerizing sight for all who dare to enter.

As you can tell from today’s photos, the Disneyland Paris Resort attractions don't mess around when it comes to the creeps
